First Inter-City Electric Bus Service Starts In Maharashtra

 

The first inter-city electric bus started in Maharashtra. It was started in February 14. This will run from Mumbai to Pune. This will operate by Prasanna Purple Mobility Solutions. There are 1300 vehicles of this company which  will run from February 15 for two services a day. There are stations in Pune and Mumbai which have established. These buses will run 300 kms with the speed up to 100 kms top speed. The charging of these buses are required 90 minutes for being fully charged.

 

 

 

There are 43 seats in this bus and is available with push back feature. In-built USB chargers and luggage space are also available. The distance between Pune and Mumbai is almost 170 kms. Both city have electric buses .This service will be started with two buses and later there will be six buses.

 

 

 

Prasanna Patwardhan, chairman and managing director, Prasana Purple said that these services will provide another opportunity to the customers. He also said that they are planning to start these services in other cities of Maharashtra and also its nearest states. There are some other buses which are running between the cities Pune and Mumbai. These buses are made by Gurgaon-based Mozev. This company has a tie up with Chinese companies. The chassis and the battery are imported by Mozev. After this they are planted in Jaipur whose capacity is 25 buses a month.
